Regis Brown currently serves as Deputy Managing Director of Genting Studios. Genting Studios is a subsidiary of Genting Malaysia, a member company of the Genting Group, one of Asia’s leading and best managed multinationals.
Brown’s mission is to establish Genting Studios as a premium content creator, capable of developing, producing and distributing original intellectual property that captures the children’s and all-family audience.
Genting Studios’ strategy is to pair the very best Hollywood studio animation development talent with the very best of CG-production talent in Kuala Lumpur, allowing Genting Studios to deliver world class premium content on a highly competitive budget.
Since inception in 2017, Genting Studios has produced 2 x 5-minute 4K CG-animated shows that stage on four-story high LED screens accompanied by state-of-the-art kinetic light shows to create a truly immersive visual entertainment experience. Genting Studios was also entrusted to redesign Genting’s original character mascots in CG for the 21st-century all-family audience.
Genting Studios’ initial focus is to service Genting’s global theme parks and resorts businesses, with plans to expand the CG-production slate to feature length films, episodic series for TV and digital platforms, as well as CG-content creation for themed attractions.
